Fat fresh case, pristine over all condition with a crazy extensive package, from punched papers to box and several bits and pieces.
Outstanding definitely for this watch is the Radial dial which makes it a rare opportunity for GMT fans.
Comes along with a 78360 bracelet and 580 end pieces.
In 1978, same year of the watch I had my first flight over the Atlantic ocean to the United States. Back then flights into different timezones were pretty uncommon and not to compare how we travel nowadays.
From Asia to Europa to the United States and back as if we were hopping from one local bus to the next.
So as the demand and frequency of these flights increased, pilots more and more required a demand for timepieces that were able to orientate in different timezones.
PAN AM, as one of the first airlines expanding their worldwide route network got involved into the conception and soon the GMT was born.
The Radial dial was and is sometimes still know as the Asia dial. Mistakenly the dials have been supposed to be made and delivered only for the asian market.
Distributed in Europe as well as several have been used on U.A.E. editions too. Our timepiece was sold by WEMPE in Germany back in the 70s.

Our Warranty
We offer a one-year warranty on the mechanical function of the watch, starting from the day of purchase. We do not guarantee the waterproof nature of any (vintage) watch, unless expressly made in writing. Therefore, our warranty will not cover any damage done to the case and/or movement by water or moisture entering the watch. Our warranty does not apply to accidental damage or mishandling of your watch and does not extend to the bracelet, case parts (including pushers, winding stem, crown and bezel), watch glass, dial and hands.
